Help and Frequently Asked Questions

Please note that many of the functions described below apply to users who are logged in to the site. If you are not logged in, you may not see all of the gwsound.com features, so the explanations below may not help you.

How do I log in, if I have never logged in before?

First you must create a new account. Then you will receive an automated email message from gwsound.com, containing an initial password that you must use to log into gwsound.com for the first time.

Once you log into the site, you should change your password to something you will remember more easily.

How do I change my password?

Click on the Edit link at the top of the Main Menu (home page) near your email address and name (or simply click this link).

This allows you to change your password, as well as any other user-related information, such as your email address, full name, or phone number.

What is the difference between Make appointment and View Appointments?

Make appointment applies to appointments that do not yet exist. This function allows you to actually make an appointment with George, thereby reserving a specified amount of time on a particular date. It also allows you to simply inquire about a particular date and time, without actually reserving the time.

View appointments applies to appointments that are already on George's calendar. They may be either past events or upcoming events. You can also update these events, such as to change the times, locations, or to add additional notes regarding the event, or perhaps to indicate that the event has been canceled.

What's the deal with the color scheme?

I deeply miss the days of the TRS-80's with their white text on black backgrounds. Although I have been a Macintosh enthusiast ever since the original Mac 128, this great machine unfortunately set the standard not just for "windows," but also for dark text on white backgrounds, just like most printed reading material. Most web pages, of course, follow similarly. Personally, I think dark backgrounds are much easier to read, and I hope you will too.

As for the hue choices, I must admit they are random. If you have some better RGB suggestions, please send them to me!

Do you still have a question that has not been answered? Please contact George, either by phone, email, or by using the contact form.
